Signs Resolution – 9/20/2016

Resolution of the LCV Board at the 9/20/2016 meeting.

A letter that was drafted by the communication committee, was read, that will be used to notify homeowners the HOA position regarding signs in the village.  Motion by Gerry Eagan, second by Peter Hayden to approve the letter  was passed 6-0. (See below)

Dear ________________.

Your HOA spends a large portion of your fees to maintain the common areas to a level that you can be proud of helping to maintain your property’s curb appeal and value.  Your cooperation by keeping your area spruced-up is greatly appreciated.

One of the items covered in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, Easements and Restrictions set up by the original developer of the village, which we only have the power to alter through a super majority vote of the owners, is that signs of any kind are not permitted on any lots or on the common area of the HOA.  The Declaration is posted on our website at www.lcvillage.org. (See Article VIII, Section 2 page 12).

In keeping with the spirit and intent of the HOA ban on signage the board respectfully requests that you remove the signs that are currently posted in the area of your home.
Thanks for your cooperation,
