Hello Homeowners!

Since February 2010 it is the law in NY State that every residence having an appliance that could emit carbon monoxide or that has an attached garage must have an operating carbon monoxide (CO) detector.  Nearly every home in Lake Country Village heats with natural gas and all have an attached garage.  Therefore it is imperative that each home be equipped with a CO detector, that it have fresh batteries (if battery operated) and that it be periodically replaced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.  We urge you to find out about what to do if your CO detector signals the presence of CO by following this link to the NYSEG website and by reading the pamphlet below.
