General information about this year’s election
- This year LCV will once again use ezvoteonline, an on-line voting service.
- TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR EMAIL BALLOT PLEASE ADD support@ezvoteonline.com TO YOUR EMAIL CONTACT LIST. EVEN BETTER, “WHITE LIST” ezvoteonline. (See instructions for doing this for common email services by clicking here.) IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A BALLOT BY THE END OF THE DAY ON APRIL 20, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER.
- Some of the features and benefits of this service
- Eliminates the need for multiple volunteers to put the ballot together, print, stuff and address envelopes, receive and count ballots and other labor intensive tasks.
- Ballots will be emailed to our existing contact list on or about April 20. For those owners for whom we do not have email addresses, ezvote will “snail mail” paper ballots on or about April 15.
- Electronic ballots are completely secure and controlled so that only one vote is allowed per HOA address. Voting is easy. A single click authenticates the voter and starts the voting process.
- Voters receiving paper ballots will phone in their votes – no complicated instructions for marking envelopes, no postage required and no danger of ballots lost or arriving late due to problems with the Post Office.
- All ballots must be cast through ezvote either electronically or by telephone. Paper ballots are not to be returned and will not be counted if they are.
- Ballots are completely confidential. Directors can only view the results at the end of the voting period. Directors can see who voted and when they voted but they cannot see the individual ballots even after the election.
- The cost to the HOA is only about $150 more than what it would cost us to handle the election on our own PLUS it saves all the hands on time for volunteers.
